Since enrolling in thesis I spent several months attending professional development events in social justice, nutrition, entrepreneurship to gather myself. I reconnected with my paper in the fall and progressed through to the spring with my #ThesisTales to proposal stage.
PROPOSAL PRESENTATION
May 2020
I defended my thesis proposal to my committee composed of Dr. Jennifer Brady (supervisor; MSVU); Dr.Megan Aston (Dalhousie); Tamara Melton (Diversify Dietetics); Dr Susan (Susie) M. Brigham (MSVU); Dr. Natalie Riediger (University of Manitoba), and a virtual crowd of over 70 people.
ETHICS
June 2020
I submitted and approved ethics to conduct my research for the upcoming month and approved ethics study #2020-007 via MSVU Ethics Board in June 2020.
INTERVIEWING
July-August 2020
I interviewed racialized dietitians on their experiences of being and becoming a dietitian from July to August 2020.
DATA ANALYSIS
Sept-Dec 2020
Transcription of interviews, followed by coding themes and analysis stage in Fall 2020.
